3 Statement Floor Lamps 3 Living Room Designs
I've been on a mission to find a floor lamp for our living area. Our rental flat has downlights everywhere with the most hideous harsh white light. We don't really use them and don't want to make drastic changes (because we don't know when we might leave the property...) So pendant light is out, and I can only consider the free-standing options. To give you a better picture here's the floor plan of the living area:
The tiny entryway (foyer) leads straight into the living area and is rather dark at the moment. Placing a floor lamp between the entryway cabinet and TV gallery wall would improve lighting, help defining the space and add visual impact.
I want something that's bold, bright and potentially work with my existing furniture at the same time! Well, easier said than done, but I think I got it. Here are the 3 contenders and I've put together a scheme around each of them:
Style 1 - Mid Century Tropicana
First up is the EICHHOLTZ HOLMES FLOOR LAMP. I love it's cage-like, hourglass shape and the long shade. The design is simple yet eye-catching enough to make a statement. This scheme is closest to what I currently have without making too many major changes.

Style 2 - New Japonisme
The second one is LAS PALMAS also by Eichholtz (can you tell I'm a fan?) Paying homage to the Italian gold leaf lamps from the 70s, I think the sculptural lamp would make a gorgeous addition to a modern Japanese-inspired scheme, which is having a come back this season.

Style 3 - Pop Art Cool
The third and final scheme is a bit of a wild card, but there are many quirky, retro elements that I love. The lamp using here is VASQUES 68" TREE FLOOR LAMP by Brayden Studio. It reminds me of the dressing room lights - bold, confident, glam, and always ready for action.
